Wetland Trails

The picturesque East Kolkata Wetlands being the only biological sewage treatment plant of the city is much more than just its function as the city's kidneys. For long, it has remained in the shadows of the city. This is high time people of the city went on a quest to explore the vibrant diversity and landscape along with its culturally and traditionally rich community.

dD-Dokan

dD Dokan is a new collaborative venture of Disappearing Dialogues Collective (dD) to showcase East Kolkata Wetlands(EKW) stories and community skills. These collectables are made in collaboration with the community as alternatives to mainstream products. This is also a beginning, helping bring community women together on a path to resilience and financial sustainability. dD through this seeks to catalyse youth leadership and community empowerment to create a drive for awareness about the conservation of EKW within the larger community.

What we make: Focusing on a sustainable culture of production and consumption, dD Dokan offers a range of collectables , symbolically evoking tales from East Kolkata Wetlands to create awareness of disappearing dialogues in the area and promote sustainable choices and lifestyles.
